About Me

Born to a father who was an Atheist, and a mother who didn't speak much of religion, I embarked on a quest to have first hand experience of Spirit, and in the process, I awakened more fully to my Authentic Self.

I was born and raised in Texas, and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to study Theatre at California Institute of the Arts.  Throughout my 20's, I struggled to find work as an actress, and when I did, it was not fulfilling to my Soul.  All I ever wanted to do in life was be an actress, and tell stories that led people closer to their hearts.  So, the final realization that I no longer wanted to act threw me into a deep experience of feeling lost and misplaced.

I did the mental, emotional, and Spiritual work of looking inside, asking for clear guidance daily, and one day the message came to me while I was standing in the shower.  I have described it as Lighting coming down because that's how quick it came through me, but it was actually just like a transmission of Light, a landing of Direct Knowing that instantly gave me the answers that I had been requesting.

Through a series of Intuitive dreams and guidance from people on my path, I was led to The University of Santa Monica to study Spiritual Psychology.  It was in those four magical years of graduate school that I awakened to my Authentic Self.

In my last year of graduate school, my husband and I were clear we did not feel Los Angeles would be the place for us to start our family, but we were equally blessed to have the ability to work anywhere.  And so, we opened a large map of the United States on the little butter yellow farmhouse table we'd gotten at The Rose Bowl, and silently studied the map until we both felt clear inside our hearts about where we'd like to live.  We agreed to not tell each other until we counted to 3 (so we could answer at the same time), and to our surprise after counting out, "1...2...3..." we both blurted out, "Connecticut!"

Now this was a shock to both of us because we had never been to Connecticut, talked about Connecticut, or even knew anyone in Connecticut.  We loved the idea and started looking at homes online.  Ultimately, we decided to move to Austin so we could be closer to family.

So, right after I graduated with my Master's degree, we moved to Austin.  I immediately began working as a case worker, helping evacuees who had been suddenly relocated from Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.  The work was beautiful and powerful, and was a good fit for me until I could sit for my exam to become a licensed therapist.

Shortly after passing my licensing exam, I went into private practice and served the Austin area for 11 years.  I worked with individuals, couples and families and found the work to be all that I ever hoped it to be and more!

In September of 2017, we went on a family vacation to New York City, and through a series of magical events, we decided to follow our hearts and move to the East Coast.  Two weeks later, my husband, our son and I found ourselves in Connecticut for the first time, walking on the property around the house that would soon become our home.

Today, I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both Connecticut and Texas, and continue to work with my Texas clients, as well as offering spiritual life coaching throughout the country and internationally.  We are living our greatest dream, and are profoundly grateful to Spirit, the Angels, and our Soul Friends who guided us along the way.

May you follow your heart, and may you Awaken to the story that your Soul has been guiding you to!

Many Blessings Ahead,

Chausey
